The expanded sleeper service eliminates the need for the driver to stop at intermediate points, which Roadway says improves delivery performance. Roadway added that sleeper resources in its operations network has given the carrier the opportunity to improve service standards by one day on many key lanes.

Roadway's new sleeper lanes originate in the following markets: Chicago Hts., Dallas, Denver, El Paso, Harrisburg, Houston, Indianapolis, Memphis, St. Louis, Stroudsburg, PA and Winston-Salem, NC.
