Record Diesel Price Streak Continues

The national average diesel price surged 8.8 cents last week over the week before, bringing the new diesel record to $2.18 per gallon. This marks the fifth consecutive week of new record-breaking diesel prices. All regions posted an increase, but the most dramatic was recorded in the Midwest, up 10.6 cents to $2.161. All regions posted an increase, but the most dramatic was recorded in the Midwest, up 10.6 cents to $2.161. The West Coast posted the smallest increase, up 6.1 cents to $2.337. If possible, you may want to fill up on the Gulf Coast, where the average is $2.115. California retains the claim for the highest diesel price, at $2.394.
