Kenworth Truck Co. said that it has earned the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the design, manufacture and assembly of its heavy- and medium-duty trucks.

Under the standard, a company is required to measure and monitor customer satisfaction and continually improve its products and processes.

In order to achieve certification, a company must demonstrate to a third-party auditor that its quality management system meets requirements in specific areas of operation, including management responsibility, resource management, product realization and measurement, analysis and improvement.
