Des Moines, IA-based RUAN Transportation said it has reached an agreement to purchase the assets of Arbor Freight Service of Eau Claire, WI, a full service transportation company with locations in Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa.
"Arbor Freight Services is a company that has a strong culture of providing excellent customer service," said Mike Kandris, president of RUAN. "The acquisition will allow us to grow with several strategic customers by capitalizing on both companies' core strengths and expertise."
He added that the Arbor acquisition would allow RUAN the opportunity to expand services to key accounts that were previously served by both companies.
