Saia Wins Award

Saia Motor Freight, a subsidiary of LTL giant Yellow Corp., has won the 2000 Carrier of Choice Award from Atlanta-based Ciba Additives. Ciba graded Saia in several categories, including on-time service, interaction/communication with Ciba employees and handling of service failures. Saia received a 95 out of a possible 100. Ciba graded Saia in several categories, including on-time service, interaction/communication with Ciba employees and handling of service failures. Saia received a 95 out of a possible 100.

Saia, with 5,500 employees and 113 locations, provides regional one- and two-day service from Southern Virginia, across the south and west to California, and northwest into Oregon and Washington with partner service to the rest of the continental United States.
