Air-Weigh has developed an in-dash, fully integrated, digital onboard scale that can be installed as a direct replacement for the traditional 2-in. dash air suspension gauge.

When hooked up to trailers equipped with Air-Weigh on-board scales, the new integrated dash unit will be able to display trailer axle, GVW and net payload weights without any additional trailer wires.

Scheduled for commercial release by the end of 2004, the model AW5801 truck scale will feature three keys and a 3-line LCD display screen in a round gauge form designed to fit any standard 2-in dash opening. Air-Weigh's ComLink system controller and gateway for trailer onboard scales will mount behind the dash.

The 2-in. scale display will be available with bezels and backlighting to match each truck manufacturer's specs and will be fully compatible with AW5700 and AW5800 trailer scales, according to the company.
