Vistar Datacom has announced that they received an order for more than 500 GlobalWave satellite communications terminals units from Sunco Carriers Inc. to outfit its entire fleet of refrigerated trailer.

The GlobalWave terminals will be deployed for tracking and monitoring shipments of perishable foods throughout Lakeland, FL-based Sunco’s service area of 33 states in the South, Mid-West and North-Eastern United States.

The installation of the GlobalWave two-way satellite data communications terminals on Sunco’s refrigerated trailer units will enable the company to track and monitor shipments remotely via the Internet. The GlobalWave system will integrate seamlessly with Sunco’s existing transportation management solution from McLeod Software.
