BorgWarner introduces CAT replacement turbo
BorgWarner Turbo and Emissions Systems has just released the S410G turbocharger for Cat 3406E, 475-550 hp applications.
The S410G, the company explained, features extended tip compressor wheel technology for improved airflow and higher-pressure ratios. The replacement model also encompasses the latest in turbine side design, which gives the turbo improved spool characteristics, according to BorgWarner.
The S410G is a direct replacement turbocharger, requiring no fitment modifications and is covered by a 12-month/100,000-mile service or replacement warranty. Identified by BorgWarner part number 177148, the new turbo is available through BorgWarner Turbo & Emissions Systems’ network of service partners.
