Bringing increased durability, maneuverability and wheel cut to heavy-duty vocational applications, Sheppard dual steering gears are now available for Peterbilt conventional models, Peterbilt Motors Co. recently announced.

The optional dual steering gears provide improved turning radius by eliminating the power-steering assist cylinder, giving the front wheels more room to turn. Removing the assist cylinder has no impact on turning power or performance, and also reduces maintenance requirements

The gears are available on Peterbilt 385, 379, 378 and 357 models in most configurations.
