American Trucking Associations members honored with SmartWay Excellence Awards

The American Trucking Associations congratulated its 21 members who received SmartWay Excellence Awards from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for outstanding environmental performance and business leadership in the goods movement.

“For two decades, the SmartWay Transport Partnership has been a model for how the federal government and private businesses can work cooperatively to achieve our shared goal of reducing emissions and improving the environment,” Chris Spear, ATA president and CEO, said. “When we work together, and not against each other, we can accomplish remarkable things. Since its founding, SmartWay partners have cut millions of tons of emissions and saved billions of dollars in fuel costs. ATA is proud to be a founding partner and longtime supporter of this program.”
