Goodyear puts up $50 DuraSeal tire guarantee

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. announced today it’s offering a $50 guarantee on tires equipped with its self-sealing DuraSeal commercial tire technology.

The tire company is putting up $25 for a tire’s first retread if punctures up to ¼ inch in diameter in the tread area do not seal. Sidewall punctures are not covered.

DuraSeal is designed to allow a tire to remain in service if punctured until it is retreaded. The tire casing is built so that it retains its sealing capability even after it is retreaded.
