    Daimler Truck names new head of investor relations, treasury; new CEO of DHL Freight appointed; and Goodyear hires new VP of investor relations.

    Marcus Poppe to head investor relations and treasury at Daimler Truck

    Daimler Truck recently appointed a key finance position and will consolidate the investor relations and treasury functions. Marcus Poppe will assume the role of head of investor relations at Daimler Truck effective September 1. As of July 1, 2026, he will also take over the treasury function. In this role, he will report to Eva Scherer, CFO of Daimler Truck AG.

    Claus Bässler will continue to be responsible for the functions treasury and tax until his retirement at the end of June 2026. Christian Herrmann, currently head of investor relations and M&A at Daimler Truck AG, has been appointed as head of corporate development as of July. Under his leadership, the functions of M&A, corporate strategy, and real estate will be integrated into a single unit, driving the company‘s long-term development. In his new role, Herrmann reports directly to Karin Rådström, president and CEO of Daimler Truck AG. Until September 1, Herrmann will continue to oversee investor relations.

    Poppe joins Daimler Truck from DWS Group, where he started his career as an equity fund manager in 2010. Most recently, he served as co-head of European equities, responsible for leading the European equities team.

    DHL Global Forwarding, Freight names Markus Voss as new CEO of DHL Freight

    DHL Global Forwarding, Freight announced a change in its global leadership team: Markus Voss, currently the chief development officer at DHL Supply Chain, will succeed Uwe Brinks as the new CEO of DHL Freight as of September 1. In his new role, Voss will report directly to Tim Scharwath, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding, Freight and become a member of the division's management board.

    Additionally, DHL is establishing a new European Transportation Board to enhance cross-divisional collaboration in land transport among DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Freight, and DHL Supply Chain. This initiative aims to deliver more integrated and efficient solutions for customers while unlocking further business growth opportunities. The new European Transportation Board consists of the CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe, the CEO of DHL Freight, and the CEO of DHL Supply Chain EMEA.

    Throughout his more than 20 years at DHL, Voss has led transformation efforts across operations, IT, and accelerated digitalization. In his most recent role as chief development officer, Voss was responsible for sales and marketing as well as overseeing global teams in service logistics, solutions design, and all strategic growth products.

    Goodyear names VP of investor relations

    The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company recently named Ryan Reed as VP of investor relations, reporting to Christina Zamarro, EVP and CFO. Reed joins Goodyear on July 14.

    Reed brings more than 15 years of experience in investor relations, corporate development, and financial planning and analysis to Goodyear. He most recently served as VP of corporate development, investor relations, and FP&A at Wabash National. Prior to Wabash, Reed held senior roles at Parker Hannifin, including as director of investor relations and corporate economist. 

    "Ryan brings a deep understanding of financial markets, strong leadership, and communications skills," Zamarro said. "I look forward to his contributions in this key role."
