Lily Transportation promotes Christine Fisher to vice president of sales for key markets
Lily Transportation recently promoted Christine Fisher to VP of sales, where she will lead growth across the automotive, grocery, retail, manufacturing, and food distribution sectors. Fisher joined the company in 2016 as marketing director and moved to the sales team in 2019 as national accounts and business development manager.
“Christine’s ability to build strong relationships has earned the trust of several key customers throughout various industries, while her success has also added several new accounts within automotive, grocery, retail, building materials and construction, to name a few. She has created valuable partnerships that continue to expand our business,” said Jon Baldi, SVP of customer solutions. “This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of her achievements and commitment to Lily’s continued growth.”
Prior to joining Lily, Fisher worked as a marketing and business development consultant and held sales roles with Comcast Spotlight Advertising Services and Greater Media.
FedEx unveils 10-member board to support independent FedEx Freight strategy
FedEx recently unveiled the 10-member board of directors for FedEx Freight ahead of its planned spin-off on June 1. R. Brad Martin will serve as chairman, and John Smith, incoming president and CEO, will also join the board alongside eight other experienced leaders in transportation, logistics, finance, and technology.
“We’ve assembled a group of prominent industry leaders who share a strong commitment to the customer-first culture that defines FedEx,” Martin said. “Their diverse perspectives and proven leadership will be instrumental in supporting FedEx Freight as it executes a focused strategy and builds on its position as the largest North American LTL freight carrier with industry-leading transit times, service levels, and reliability.”
