NACFE adds new board members from fleets, OEMs, and suppliers to support trucking strategy
The North American Council for Freight Efficiency (NACFE) recently made changes to its board of directors, including the retirement of Rob Reich as chair after eight years and the appointment of Steve Mignardi as the new board chair. The organization also elected Charlotte Argue as board treasurer and added several new members while continuing with its existing leadership team.
“Rob has been a great asset to NACFE, helping to guide us these last eight years,” Mike Roeth, NACFE’s executive director, said. “He has helped us define our place in guiding fleets through trucking’s Messy Middle.”
Mignardi, a former Daimler Truck North America executive, becomes the fifth board chair in NACFE’s 16-year history. The updated board includes leaders from across fleets, OEMs, suppliers, and sustainability organizations, reinforcing NACFE’s focus on guiding fleets through trucking’s evolving “Messy Middle.” Read more…
Saia appoints marketing VP to support LTL growth and brand strategy

“Lisa brings deep experience in brand development, digital marketing, and integrated campaign strategy,” Ray Ramu, EVP and CCO, stated. “Her leadership will help further elevate Saia’s brand and strengthen how we connect with customers across all channels.”

NATSO names government affairs chair to guide fuel policy and trucking regulation priorities
The National Association of Truck Stop Owners (NATSO) named Randy Gard, COO of Bosselman Enterprises, as chair of its government affairs committee, a group that advises the association on legislation, regulation, and policy impacting truck stops and fuel retailers.
"NATSO will continue assessing policy proposals through the lens of consumers. Biofuel and other alternative fuel policies only work if they lower costs for consumers," Gard stated. "The new 45Z Clean Fuel Production Tax Credit and the need for the year-round sale of gasoline with 15 percent ethanol are among the top industry concerns for 2026. I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to drive policies that ultimately result in the right value proposition for fuel retailers, consumers, and the broader market."
Max McBrayer, NATSO president and CEO, said Gard’s industry experience will support the association’s advocacy efforts on public policy challenges. Read more…
