The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) has announced it will host its first Leadership Summit July 17-18, in Chicago. “Leadership doesn’t just happen, it’s a choice,” said TCA, which is inviting trucking professionals to come out and hear industry leaders talk about how they successfully implemented change in their own companies.

Topics to be covered during the first day of the program, titled “Leading for Change: Effecting Cultural Transformation,” include how a vision catches fire in a leadership culture, the leader’s role in cultural transformation, how customer service defines a company, and how to build a consensus.

The agenda for the second day centers on how to focus on making changes and implementing tough decisions. The speakers will present inspiring stories and case studies from real-life experiences, and share secrets to developing leaders in an organization, noted TCA.
