ConMet taps Altwies for Tier 1/OEM management slot

Consolidated Metco (ConMet) has hired Jason Altwies as the company’s National Account Manager. Based in Kalamazoo, MI, he joins ConMet after 13 years with Dana Holding Corp.’s Commercial Vehicle Group, where he held direct account management, business development, product marketing, and process improvement roles

Consolidated Metco (ConMet) has hired Jason Altwies as the company’s National Account Manager. Based in Kalamazoo, MI, he joins ConMet after 13 years with Dana Holding Corp.’s Commercial Vehicle Group, where he held direct account management, business development, product marketing, and process improvement roles.

“Jason brings with him a diverse skill set and a broad background in the North American commercial vehicle Tier 1, OEM, fleet, and aftermarket business segments,” said Mike Hurley, vp of sales. “He will be responsible for managing relationships with large Tier 1 suppliers as well as seeking out new opportunities with smaller/specialty OEMs.”

A graduate of the University of Toledo, Altweis will soon be completing a Master’s in Organizational Management from Spring Arbor University in Michigan.

Founded in 1964, ConMet is a major supplier of engineered components for the commercial truck industry. It is a subsidiary of Amsted Industries, a global transportation component manufacturer.
