    Dunlop Commercial Truck Tires has introduced a new long-haul drive tire with an aggressive tread pattern designed for optimum traction and mileage. The SP 464 features a 28/32-in. tread depth and three deep “hydro” grooves to help evacuate water.

    In addition, Goodyear, which manufactures Dunlop tires, said special “penetration protectors” help the SP 464 to resist cuts and punctures while long and even wear is enhanced by solid shoulder ribs.

    “The SP 464 is a cost-conscious tire with excellent performance in its class,” said Larry Tucker, marketing manager for line-haul tires. “With its four-belt construction, the tire can be a proven performer in its original life, as well as in future lives as a retread. It comes with the heritage of Goodyear, which is renowned for its tire engineering and casing quality.”

    The new drive tire is available in sizes 11R22.5 LR G, 11R24.5 LR G, 295/75R22.5 LR G and 285/75R24.5 LR G.
