Interstate 90 is closed in both directions across Snoqualmie Pass in Washington State, due to winter weather conditions and a slide, according to a bulletin this afternoon from the Washington State DOT (WSDOT). The closure is from milepost 34 near North Bend, WA to milepost 106 near Ellensburg, WA.

The slide occurred near milepost 51 blocking the westbound lanes. The Washington State Patrol and WSDOT crews are on scene working to clear the roadway. WSDOT was not able to provide an estimate for when the highway would reopen to traffic, however, due to the weather-related nature of the closure. Weather conditions are described as “extreme” and avalanche danger is high.
