William D. Gibson has joined SCT Fleet Solutions as vice president of sales & marketing following a 38-year career with General Motors.

Gibson retired from GM at the end of April, concluding a career that included 21 years in the fleet & commercial operations channel. In 2001, Gibson served as global fleet sales manager.

“With the challenges facing the fleet industry today and with the product SCT has developed, I feel I’m in an unusual position where I can leverage my personal network and knowledge of the industry to bring cost-effective solutions to help the industry,” Gibson said.

During his 21 years in GM’s fleet & commercial operations, Gibson held the positions of director-fleet & commercial sales; director - rental sales; and director - marketing & internal support.
