Out with the same old shows, and in with the new. That’s the tact that NAFA Fleet Management has taken with its 2010 Institute& Expo event, to be held April 24-27 at the Cobo Convention Center in Detroit.

The organization has scheduled a full program of educational courses and sessions, networking events, and Expo Floor events. There is also a chance to sign up for NAFA’s Habitat for Humanity Day in Detroit. All of which can be found on a new website, located at www.NAFAIandE.org, devoted to the show. The website also provides information on hotel accommodations, making reservations, airline discounts, and other travel details as well as a chance to register for the show.

The show will be highlighted by not one, but three keynote addresses, one on each day. Confirmed speakers include Mark Fields, executive vp of Ford Motor Co. and president of The Americas, and Robert A. Lutz, vice chairman of General Motors Co. An executive from Chrysler has also been invited.

Sessions at the show will feature expert fleet managers in every fleet segment and will focus on some of the most important issues facing the industry today. There will also be cutting-edge training and education available.

Offering a one-stop shop, the Expo Floor will include hundreds of vendors showcasing their latest products. To further the experience, a special ride-and-drive event will allow attendees to test out the newest models. And for those looking to green their fleet, the Green Zone will include some of the best products on the market to do just that.

Created by fleet managers for fleet managers, NAFA’s I&E features one of the industry’s largest exhibit floors. The Networking Welcome Reception will take place on the Expo Floor, so attendees can do business while relaxing with food and drink.
