Baseball exec Billy Beane and former FMCSA Administrator Sandberg to speak at Qualcomm conference

Qualcomm Inc. recently announced that Major League Baseball (MLB) executive Billy Beane, the subject of Michael Lewis’ book “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game,”will headline its Vision 2012 Management Conference, June 4-7, 2012, at the Omni Hotel in San Diego.

Annette Sandberg, Esq., CEO of Transafe Consulting and former Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) administrator, and Richard Stocking, president & COO of Swift Transportation will also be featured speakers.

“Faced with unprecedented challenges ranging from safety and compliance to driver retention and recruitment, today’s fleet operators need to be smarter and more nimble than ever before,” said Norm Ellis, vice president of sales, services and marketing for Qualcomm Enterprise Services. “Vision 2012 will provide attendees unique access to an elite group of visionaries, thought leaders and resources, all of which, we expect, will help enhance fleet executives’ understanding of how to leverage mobile-based information and business intelligence to be successful in an increasingly competitive and dynamic industry.”

The company also announced the launch of a new YouTube channel: Qualcomm Driving Ahead. Videos on the site feature Qualcomm applications, platforms and services, regulatory updates and more.
