Ruan Transportation names CFO, promotes Wadle

Feb. 11, 2013

Ruan Transportation Management Systems has named Steven H. Wood, former CFO for Becker Underwood, senior vice president of finance and administration and CFO. The company also promoted Marty Wadle of senior vice president of supply chains solutions.

Wood will be responsible for managing risk, financial analysis, general accounting, tax and license, payroll and customer accounting. In addition to overseeing Ruan’s company-wide budget, Wood will monitor and measure business practices and performance while supporting the needs of operating departments and more than 230 terminals across the U.S., the company said.

Prior to Becker Underwood, Wood served at Maytag Corp. for 14 years, where he held various positions in internal audit and information technology, followed by assignments as corporate controller and, lastly, as CFO.

“Steve’s significant senior management and financial experience will be critical to our company’s continued success well into the future,” said Steve Chapman, Ruan president & CEO. “Steve is bringing Ruan tremendous leadership and insight as a fully integrated member of our team.”

Wadle was most recently vice president of logistics solutions. He will oversee the deployment and integration of new technology systems that provide optimized logistics management solutions.

“What will continue to drive success in Integrated Solutions is the quality of our people, the customer service we provide, our technology solution and our ability to differentiate ourselves in a very competitive segment of the industry,” Chapman said. “Marty possesses the knowledge and ability to provide the leadership required to achieve the goals we have established for our Integrated Solutions division.”
