ORLANDO. Master Fleet, LLC debuted its new service offering-- Commercial Fleet Management (CFM)-- that’s designed to provide “partial to full outsourcing of fleet maintenance this week here at the American Trucking Assns. (ATA) meeting.
The Green Bay-based company said CFM “provides all aspects of today’s professional fleet management in an a la carte menu customized to each customer’s needs.”
The CFM service offerings include:
• Vendor shop selection and management
• Company shop management if applicable
• Negotiation of discounted labor and parts rates using our larger system volume
• Installation of Master Fleet’s PM system and practices
• Cost control processes including pre-approval, estimates, and damage photos
• Installation and training of Master Fleet’s repair cost stances and procedures
• Training of both company and vendor shop on best repair practices
• Tracking and scheduling of all PMs, inspections, licenses, and permits
• Identification and collection of OE and aftermarket warranty
• Tracking of all repair and cost history in Master Fleet’s TMT database by asset and VRMS code
• Providing detailed maintenance cost reporting and analysis
• Auditing of all maintenance expenses for correct parts and labor charges
• Identification and recovery of any rework and repetitive repair charges
• Approval and payment of all vendor invoices
• Providing industry benchmarking of comparable (age, mileage, type) fleet costs
To provide all this, Master Fleet said it has “assembled a team of key maintenance professionals from the largest fleets in the U.S. who have an average of over 20 years each leading major maintenance teams. "They have maintained equipment for over 120 fleets for nearly 30 years, and work on every make and model of tractors and trailers, including CNG. As well as managing company shops and vendor shops nationwide, from 2 to 140 technicians, they have consulted with over 40 fleets, from small and medium to national.”
