NAFA has named Joe McDonald, senior director-account management at Wheels, as chair of its Affiliates Committee. The Affiliates Committee represents the interests of fleet managers and suppliers and service providers.

“We are excited to have Joe McDonald take over the leadership of our Affiliates Committee,” said NAFA’s Executive Director, Phillip E. Russo, CAE.  “Wheels, Inc. is the largest privately held fleet management company in the world, providing organizations with company cars and trucks along with state-of-the-art services and support.  All total, Wheels, Inc. manages nearly 300,000 vehicles throughout North America and more than one million globally! Having someone of McDonald’s expertise as Chair proves NAFA’s value and stature within the fleet management industry.”

NAFA Affiliates are defined as any individual not eligible for either full or associate member status but who has a direct interest in motor vehicle fleet administration through the supply of products and/or services directly pertaining to the industry and who supports NAFA and subscribes to its aims and purposes.  NAFA offers many benefits for Affiliates such as opportunities to network with fleet professionals locally, nationally, and online; the ability to build company recognition through fleet management; marketing, advertising, exhibiting, and sponsorship opportunities available solely for NAFA Affiliates; and the opportunity to volunteer within NAFA committees and chapters.

“I am thrilled to assume the role of chairperson for the NAFA Affiliates Committee,” said McDonald.  “I’ve had the honor of serving as Affiliate Chair for the local Chicago Chapter in addition to my work with the Affiliates Committee, which has given me a lot of firsthand experience into the terrific work being done by NAFA.  I feel fortunate to be following the tenures of prior Affiliate Chairs, who have set a tremendously high bar for ongoing success.  I will certainly look to continue that legacy going forward.

The vice chair of the Affiliates Committee is Alain Primeau, national sales director, major accounts for UAP Inc., NAPA Canada and the reporting vp/officer/trustee is Mark F. Klein, strategic account manager, Safelite Solutions.
