The first Down Under location for Penske Truck Leasing Co. will be co-located at a Brisbane truck dealership operated by Australia-based Penske Commercial Vehicles, which exclusively distributes Western Star as well as MAN trucks in both Australia and New Zealand.

The venture, dubbed Penske Commercial Leasing Australia, is going to market under the name “Penske Truck Rental.”  Reading, PA-based Penske Truck Rental noted that the collaboration combines its “fleet operations expertise with the market knowledge of Penske Commercial Vehicles.”

Penske Truck Rental’s Australian operation will launch with a 20-truck fleet of MAN (pictured) and Western Star “prime movers.”  These first units will boast such specs as the 560-hp. DD15 and Eaton UltraShift Plus automated-mechanical transmission.
