Having good electrical testing equipment is crucial for maintaining a vehicle’s electrical system—but portability and weight can be an obstacle for testing equipment. Purkeys announced its Handheld Electrical Analyzer allows technicians to test the electrical systems of heavy-duty vehicles from the palms of their hands.
According to the company, this tester has a menu-driven system that guides technicians through tests for heavy-duty vehicles’ starting, charging, and battery systems. In addition, it identifies and troubleshoots electrical issues.
“Preventive maintenance checks can help fleets eliminate electrical issues, saving them time and money,” according to Purkeys. “Technicians need reliable and accurate electrical testing tools to perform proper preventative maintenance. The portability and light-weight design of the Handheld Electrical Analyzer allows technicians to use it in the field or in the shop. Optimized for AGM and flooded cell batteries, this handy device can record its testing history with printable results.”
