Carrier Transicold Aspen diesel APU delivers cab climate control and idle reduction power

The Aspen diesel APU from Carrier Transicold provides dependable cab climate control and electricity without idling the truck engine. It produces 12,000 Btu/h of cooling and 8,200 Btu/h of heating through its standard electric heater, with an optional fuel-fired cabin heater for added flexibility. The onboard generator in the Aspen APU provides high-quality 120 VAC power for appliances and personal devices; an optional inverter can extend hotel-load power while the truck is in motion. Shore power connectivity eliminates the need to run the APU engine at facilities with electrical hookups.  

Standard modes include Battery Monitor to keep the truck battery charged, Winter Watch for automatic engine preheating, and Manual Programming to automate functions based on driver schedules. Easy to use, the single-knob interface makes temperature control as intuitive as a home thermostat.
