KLLM Workers Help Make Christmas Merry

The Christmas spirit shone in Jackson MS when KLLM Transport employees arrived at Stewpot Community Services with an 18-wheeler full of food, clothing, and toys. While children in the Neighborhood Tutoring Program enjoyed a party hosted by KLLM employees, other KLLM employees worked with Stewpot representatives to unload about 10,000 food items and thousands of toys and gifts collected for the project.

Besides employee and company contributions, The Kroger Co and Fresh Express made donations to the project. Utility Trailers of Mississippi joined in this year to support the project with a cash donation and an employee food and toy drive. Employees of Southern Tire Sales LLC also collected food and toys for the project.

Stewpot serves nearly 300 meals per day, including 50 to home-bound individuals. The food pantry assists an average of 700 people (300 families) per month.
