Franchised dealers of United States truck manufacturers sold 654,205 units in January 2004. This is an increase of 15.8% above sales for the same month a year earlier, according to data published by Ward's Communications.
Every truck class showed an increase. Class 6 showed the biggest gain: 74.3%, going from 3,494 to 6,090. Class 3 showed the smallest gain: 5.1% (5,934 to 6,238).
