The Air Top 2000, long a choice among fleets and drivers for sleeper bunk heating, has been updated by Webasto and reintroduced as the Air Top 2000 ST. This fuel-operated heater is designed to provide sleeper berth heat without idling the truck engine. The Air Top 2000 ST complies with all government emission regulations and will use fuel that contains up to 20% bio-diesel.

The heater can be set to come on automatically using an optional timer, or can be started by the driver using the standard controller. In operation, the Air Top 2000 ST consumes approximately 0.05 gallon of fuel per hour.

Other improvements to the Air Top 2000 ST include a sealed control unit that can be mounted outside the truck cab if desired, greater airflow increased to 55 cubic feet per minute up from 46 cfm, a new fan design that limits dust build-up, and a self-cleaning evaporative burner that limits wax and carbon build-up.
