This year's Distribution/Computer Expo & Seminar features sessions on e-commerce and supply chain management, as well as warehousing, distribution, transportation, bar codes, and logistics. Seminars are planned for May 22-23; the expo is set for May 23-24; both events take place at Chicago IL's Navy Pier.

Concurrent with this year's expo, the seminars showcase 61 educational sessions on the latest technologies and practices. Included are 27 sessions devoted to e-business, e-commerce supply chain, and Internet-enabled logistics. Another 15 sessions focus on supply chain management and execution.

Jim Tompkins, president and founder of Tompkins and Associates, will give the first of two keynote presentations. He will speak on “No Boundaries — Moving Beyond Supply Chain Management.” The second keynote, delivered by Dennis Eskow and Mark Grantz, reveals details of a research report on the future of logistics. Eskow and Grantz are editors of Consumer Goods Technology News.

The expo is expected to feature more than 220 exhibitors of 1,000-plus computer programs, systems, and services.
