Accuride Corp is investing $22.4 million for expansion of its aluminum production capacity and product line offerings. As a result, the firm anticipates that by third-quarter 2000, it will achieve a 90% increase in aluminum wheel production capacity as compared with 1998 shipments. Accuride plans the first incremental increase in capacity to be in place during first-quarter 2000. Expansion plans include installation of a 7,000-ton press, and associated spinning, heat treating, machining, and polishing equipment.
