Thermo King Corp and Prime Inc have signed a five-year agreement that extends the SVC guaranteed maintenance program to cover a series of recently purchased units. Prime operates more than 2,500 refrigeration units, most of which are Thermo King-produced. In January, the Springfield MO-based Prime took ownership of 250 Thermo King Magnum Whisper Edition trailer refrigeration units. The company will purchase an estimated 15 a week until the end of 2002.

Introduced to Prime in spring 2001, the SVC program has grown to include participation of 25 Thermo King dealers nationwide. Technicians from the dealers pay weekly visits to 33 of Prime's drop yards, synchronizing times with representatives from Great Dane and Bandag, which already provide similar maintenance services.
