Because of a possible health threat, Vince's Famous Southern Style Potato Salad, distributed through BI-LO supermarkets, has been removed from sale. Chef Solutions prepares the product.

A routine sample by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture taken from BI-LO's store at 6723 Ringgold Road in Chattanooga TN revealed a positive reading for listeria. A bacteria, listeria can cause flu-like symptoms. Infants, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems are especially at risk. No illness has been reported.

BI-LO customers who have a 16-ounce container of Vince's Famous Southern Style Potato Salad with the expiration date of April 18, 2004, should return the product to their nearest BI-LO supermarket for a full refund.
