Spartan Stores expands distribution

Spartan Stores Inc has entered into a new three-year supply agreement with the Grand Rapids MI-based grocery distributor’s second-largest customer.

Spartan Stores Inc has entered into a new three-year supply agreement with the Grand Rapids MI-based grocery distributor’s second-largest customer. This supply agreement expands services to include distribution of all produce and floral products to the customer’s 21 retail stores. The agreement enhances Spartan’s distribution product mix with the additional produce sales and will increase total warehouse shipments.

The nation’s tenth-largest grocery distributor with warehouse facilities in Grand Rapids and Plymouth MI, Spartan distributes more than 40,000 private-label and national brand products to 350-plus independent grocery stores in Michigan.
