Lineage recently opened a new temperature-controlled warehouse in Bremerhaven, Germany. The company, which is a global temperature-controlled industrial REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) and integrated solutions provider, designed the facility to support seafood logistics and distribution across Europe.
The new 19,000-square-meter site includes 40,000 pallet positions, 18 dock doors, and direct quay access to support efficient movement of fresh and frozen seafood. It is positioned at Fischereihafen in the heart of Bremerhaven’s food industry sector and serves as a distribution point for imports from Asia-Pacific markets, including China, for distribution across Europe.
“Bremerhaven is one of Europe’s most important seafood hubs and a strategically important location within our global network," Claire Walters, regional VP for the Netherlands & Germany at Lineage, stated. “This investment reflects our commitment to developing cold chain infrastructure that ensures high-quality food reaches more people with less waste.”
