Central Storage & Warehouse has opened a new −70°F ultra-cold expansion at its Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, facility, adding specialized storage capacity for temperature-sensitive products.

The company, which provides temperature-controlled warehouse services, partnered with Consolidated Construction Company and Summit Refrigeration to design and build the new space to support continued growth in its ultra-cold operations.

The project marks the company's second expansion of its ultra-cold storage capacity, following earlier expansions completed in 2016 and 2020. Maintaining temperatures as low as −70°F required a purpose-built refrigeration system designed for products that require colder conditions than conventional freezer storage.

According to the company, the expansion supports customers that rely on ultra-cold storage for ingredients used throughout the food manufacturing supply chain. The additional capacity is intended to help long-term customers scale their operations as demand grows.
