4Front Engineered Solutions is continuing its cross-country education program with a visit to Oklahoma State University in Stillwater OK. Thanks to collaboration with Dr Ricki Ingalls and Dr Baski Balasundaram, and in cooperation with the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), 4Front’s Mobile Showroom will be displayed on the north side of the football stadium February 26 from 8 am to 3:30 pm to educate engineering and architectural students about sustainability initiatives and the importance of proper warehouse and loading dock design applications.

Since its inception in 2007, the Mobile Showroom has logged more than 300,000 miles and recently celebrated its 10,000th visitor. The 53-foot custom semitrailer contains more than 20 pieces of loading dock and warehouse equipment, and will be available for students to walk through and view different design applications, giving them a hands-on environment for learning how different pieces of equipment can be used together to create a safe and productive building.

Demonstrators in the Mobile Showroom will also discuss various building designs and technologies, as well as energy-efficiency, sustainable equipment, warehouse logistics, and LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. In addition to the Mobile Showroom presentations, workshops will be held in the Advanced Technology Research Center (ATRC) throughout the day.

“We are pleased to continue our tradition of education on proper building design and technology with relevant, hands-on knowledge of building design to the future engineers and architects of our industry,” said Steve Sprunger, senior vice-president of 4Front Engineered Solutions.

New technology in the Mobile Showroom includes high-volume/low-speed fans, solar loading dock packages, and other innovations that contribute to LEED certification. 4Front is an American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Provider with presentation and educational materials to assist future architects and designers.
