Overall, companies worldwide reported increased capacity. The Global Top 25 currently operates 3.36 billion cubic feet (95.20 million cubic meters)—a 4% increase from 2013. Combined space of IARW total membership, including the Global Top 25 and North American Top 25 members, accounts for 4.39 billion cubic feet (124.29 million cubic meters)—a 2% increase from this time in 2013.
“The changes to the Top 25 Lists reflect positive growth, as well as increasing consolidation in the PRW industry,” said Corey Rosenbusch, IARW president and chief executive officer. “Our members are strengthening the cold chain around the world to meet the needs of the food industry. This global expansion also underscores our strategic priority to grow the reach of our association internationally.”
IARW has members in 66 nations around the world. The Global Top 25 list includes PRW companies with facilities in Argentina, Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Vietnam, and the United States of America.
