Vertical Cold Storage’s Indianapolis facility received organic certification from Where Food Comes From Organic. The company, which provides temperature-controlled logistics solutions, completed a thorough documentation review, on-site inspection, and operating procedure evaluation as part of the certification process.
The certification stems from a customer request and enables companies to consolidate units from multiple origins into a single location, improving efficiency and simplifying the supply chain. Vertical Cold Storage plans to explore additional organic certifications for other commodities and facilities.
This achievement builds on recent service expansions, including bonded warehousing and in-house data coding services, all designed to address evolving customer needs and improve supply chain operations.
“This certification isn’t just about compliance, it’s about partnership,” Jim Henderson, CCO of Vertical Cold Storage, stated. “A customer came to us with a need, and we delivered. That’s what ‘embrace complexity’ means to us: When customers bring us their challenges, we take it from there.”
