The Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) recently selected its 2026 volunteer leadership team to guide direction during a period of structural change and expanded global representation. The company, which represents refrigerated warehousing, transportation, and temperature-controlled logistics across the global cold chain, is operating under a newly unified governance model following major bylaw updates.
Governance now sits under a single GCCA board after the merger of the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (IARW) and the International Refrigerated Transportation Association (IRTA) under the GCCA banner in early 2026.
Together, the GCCA board of directors and the Global Cold Chain Foundation (GCCF) board of governors will oversee strategy, advocacy, and member services across warehousing, transportation, international development, and scientific research within the cold chain industry.
