ATA, CODEGA add three safety videos
The American Trucking Associations (ATA) and CODEGA LLC have introduced three new safety videos and accompanying educational materials for the trucking industry.
These new additions, Taking a Look at: Drug & Alcohol Awareness, The Mystery of: Interpreting Vital Signs, and Investigating: Following & Stopping Distances are part of the ATA-CODEGA ProTraining Safety Series that features the latest in educational animation technology, along with corresponding workbooks and quizzes.
Taking a Look at: Drug & Alcohol Awareness provides professional drivers with a trucking-specific overview of statistics and federal regulations related to drugs and alcohol. It sets forth what professional drivers need to know to stay safe and compliant while out on the road.
The Mystery of: Interpreting Vital Signs offers drivers a refresher of the various shapes, colors, and types of signs and what they all mean. Soaring above multiple cities and various location types, viewers receive a bird’s-eye view of the applicability of these signs. The video reinforces these concepts with interactive question and answer periods throughout.
Investigating: Following & Stopping Distances examines safety issues such as: What is considered a sufficient following distance to ensure maximum safety while driving? What factors influence braking distance? How does one calculate following and braking distances while en route? Viewers learn the basics of perception, reaction, and inertia, as well as environmental conditions and their influence on stopping distance.
