U.S. Foodservice has finished its pending acquisition of Clark National Inc.

U.S. Foodservice has finished its pending acquisition of Clark National Inc., purchasing certain key operating assets of the firm's broadline foodservice distribution business in South Bend IN. Terms of this transaction, which was first announced in January 2008, were not available.

Former Clark-South Bend clients will be served by U.S. Foodservice distribution facilities in Indianapolis IN and Bensenville IL.

With more than 27,000 associates in 70-plus locations, U.S. Foodservice distributes food and related products to 250,000 customers nationwide.
