XATA Corporation announced that St Louis MO-based Schnuck Markets Inc, a family-owned-and-operated food and pharmacy company since 1939, has selected XATA for its fleet management system.

With more than 100 stores across seven states, Schnucks serves customers in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Schnucks will use XATANET’s fleet operations software platform and services for real-time communications and for monitoring the performance of its 85-vehicle fleet of trucks.

“A growing company like Schnucks will benefit greatly from intelligent fleet management technology,” said David Gagne, executive vice-president–field operations, XATA Corp. “The visibility XATANET provides will enhance Schnucks fleet operations, resulting in a safer, more efficient fleet that will also save costs and enhance customer service.”

“Schnucks is one of the few grocers that distributes its own goods, and the ability to improve our fleet operations and provide exceptional customer service is critical as we face growing industry demands,” said Bob Kramer, director of transportation, Schnucks.

Minneapolis MN-based XATA Corp optimizes fleet operations by reducing costs and ensuring regulatory compliance for the trucking industry. It says it was the first company to introduce electronic driver logs and exception-based management reporting. For more information, visit www.xata.com or call 1-800-745-9282.
