US Foods has selected Aternity Inc’s Frontline Performance Intelligence (FPI) Platform for its strategic end-user experience management initiatives.

With Aternity, US Foods will be monitoring and analyzing the performance of mission-critical applications in both physical and virtual desktop environments in order to proactively manage application deployments, adoption, and ongoing use. Aternity will be monitoring US Foods’ deployment of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, applications delivered by SAP and Oracle, as well as custom HTTP and Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) used to manage warehouse and distribution logistics.

“We were referred to Aternity by a major healthcare insurer who uses Aternity’s FPI Platform to proactively identify and remediate application performance issues before their end users are impacted,” said Paul Schwartz, senior vice-president of US Foods. “We were extremely impressed with Aternity’s ability to provide comprehensive and proactive visibility into application performance, desktop and laptop performance, and user productivity.”

Aternity’s FPI Platform continuously monitors the three key components that together define and impact end user experience: application performance, device performance, and user productivity. By proactively detecting potential issues before users call the help desk, this FPI Platform increases user productivity and eliminates business disruptions. Aternity also helps IT managers optimize application and end-user performance, ensuring optimal performance for business applications running on every desktop—physical or virtual.
