• Exel announces new freight brokerage company

    Exel and its sister company DHL Supply Chain have announced their new freight brokerage company, Exel Freight Connect, to help connect customers with carriers for freight transportation needs.

    Exel and its sister company DHL Supply Chain have announced their new freight brokerage company, Exel Freight Connect, to help connect customers with carriers for freight transportation needs.
    The new company offers custom freight brokerage services and a network of carriers, allowing Exel to respond to capacity requests across transportation modes servicing the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The new company is based in the warehouse district in Columbus OH.
    Exel Freight Connect is expected to generate 117 new jobs for the Columbus community and will be a multi-client and multi-sector service, specializing in truckload, less than truckload (LTL), and expedited shipments. The new firm will allow businesses of all sizes to move brokered shipments across the nation by taking advantage of Exel’s transportation network, experience supporting high-service supply chains, customer service, and technology.
    While focusing initially on dry freight, the company does offer temperature control, intermodal freight transport, flatbed, and other specialized transportation services.
