Butterball salutes East Coast Transport as carrier of year

Butterball LLC has anounced that East Coast Transport LLC has been selected as the 2016 Butterball National Carrier of the Year.

Butterball LLC has anounced that East Coast Transport LLC has been selected as the 2016 Butterball National Carrier of the Year.

The award was presented to ECT by Dan Bohlman, senior manager–logistics procurement for Butterball.

“We review all of our carriers monthly through our carrier scorecard and then also look at the details of how well our transportation providers perform in several key areas such as delivery service, effective communication, flexibility, overall value and administration,” said Bohlman. “East Coast Transport LLC consistently met or exceeded these objectives and provided outstanding service to our customers throughout the year. We are grateful to have such a hard-working group supporting Butterball and helping our company achieve great results. Each year, East Coast proves to be a key contributor to our ‘dedicated fresh’ season success.

“Congratulations to East Coast Transport LLC; we appreciate the partnership we’ve built together over the years,” he said.

Also attending the presentation from Butterball were Dan DiGrazio, Butterball senior director of logistics; Dean Lisenby, Butterball vice-president of supply chain & continuous improvement; Chris Stokley, senior manager–transportation; Michelle Blank, senior buyer–logistics procurement; Diane Perry, transportation manager; and Derek Futrelle, logistics analyst.

Accepting the award from ECT were Tina Latta, founder/managing member; Paul Berman, vice-president of logistics; and Mannie Bueno, vice-president of operations.
