In separate transactions, Orlando FL-based private equity company KJM Capital has acquired the Utah-based refrigerated carriers Interide Transport and Blue Sky Logistics.
Based in Salt Lake City UT, Interide Transport specializes in hauling refrigerated food products and other protected freight in the western United States. Its fleet consists of more than 100 tractors and refrigerated trailers.
With 30 power units and 35 refrigerated trailers, Blue Sky Logistics is headquartered in Smithfield UT and also operates predominantly in the West. As part of this acquisition, Blue Sky has been integrated into Interide Transport.
These most recent acquisitions join KJM’s acquisitions of Lexington SC-based Charles Gantt Trucking and Lakeland FL-based Sunco Carriers (dba Watkins Refrigerated) in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
KJM’s family of carriers will provide full truckload, temperature-controlled transport services to a US customer base. Through these acquisitions, KJM’s combined fleets have grown to 450 tractors and 700 refrigerated units.
