Maverick Transportation LLC recently announced another raise in pay, this time for its OTR Temperature Control Division drivers. Ranked as one of the National Transportation Institute’s Top Pay Carriers, Maverick has now increased pay by $0.05 per mile in this division.
“It’s a top priority for us to be on the leading edge of driver compensation,” said John Culp, president of Maverick. “If we can put more money in our drivers’ pockets, we do it. Last November, we boosted pay for our other divisions, and we’re very pleased to raise the pay in the Temperature Control Division, too.”
The pay increase, which goes into effect April 29, 2018, will bring starting pay to $0.51 to $0.55 per mile and student starting pay to $0.45 per mile. This is the third pay raise for Maverick drivers in recent months. The carrier rolled out a $0.05 per mile increase for its Flatbed and Glass OTR Divisions at the end of 2017.
Maverick drivers also enjoy pay increases up to five years, pay for performance bonus, and a driver referral bonus program. Other driver benefits include: excellent home time, weekend guarantee pay, paid orientation and training, paid weigh station bypass and tolls, 401k plan plus match, company-paid life insurance, health and dental insurance options, and paid vacation.
Temperature Control Division drivers also enjoy a $1,000 weekly minimum guarantee pay. Additionally, Maverick is currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for drivers with one year of verifiable experience.
