Dot Transportation (DTI), a wholly owned subsidiary of redistributor Dot Foods Inc, has announced higher wages for its drivers fleetwide as part of the largest pay increase in DTI’s history.

DTI employs more than 1,500 drivers at 11 Dot Foods distribution centers and 16 terminal locations nationwide. The pay increase applies to both full-time and part-time drivers on all schedules the company offers. The average annual salary for full-time drivers at DTI was $80,000 in 2017 and with the latest pay increase, that amount will rise by an average of $3,000 to $4,000, according to the company.

“This change is acknowledgement of our incredible drivers and the hard work they put in every day,” said Paul Mugerditchian, DTI president. “Our drivers are the face of our business. They do much more than log miles. They play a key customer service role in our business and are instrumental in Dot’s success.”

DTI continually evaluates wages in order to remain competitive in the industry. Its driver pay is consistently in the top 10% of the transportation industry. The company also offers its full-time drivers 401k and profit-sharing, paid time off, and a best in class benefits package valued at $22,000.

Founded by Robert and Dorothy Tracy in Mt Sterling IL in 1960, Dot Foods remains family-owned and -operated. The company’s sales hit $7 billion in 2017.
